Advisory Board

“The only thing to do with good advice is pass it on.
It is never any use to oneself.“

The Advisory Committee of Jeanne Jugan Residence consists of people who have embraced the mission of the Little Sisters of the Poor and are using their talents to help us make important decisions. These business men and women have a wide range of experience to guide us.

Formed early in 2001, the committee began in the first phases of the Capital Campaign as a fundraising tool. Mr. Patrick Waide agreed to chair the group and continues to give consistent leadership. While the numbers and names have changed throughout the years, the members have each given us so much of their time, talent and treasure. We really couldn’t have accomplished the construction of this new home without their help.

Since the Grand Opening in May of 2006, the committee has taken on more of a general advisory role. Computers, Legal Issues and the “Greening” of our Home have all been topics of discussion at recent meetings. If you feel called to help us continue our mission in this way, please contact Mother Genevieve to inquire about the process to become an Advisory Committee Member.
